Z3 Coupes only available in six cylinder engines

The BMW Z3 became famous when it was featured in a James Bond film. Its celebrity also made it one of the most in demand cars from 1999 to the year 2k due to its prize winning designs and efficient promotional program. Before the halt of its production, the BMW Z3 was succeeded by the new generations of the BMW Z4, which offers luxury class roadsters and coupes. Both the M roadster and Coupe versions of the BMW Z3 had yearly equipment changes before the production of the declared vehicles was stopped in 2002.

A major facelift of the Z3 was done 2001 where the engines and the interiors of the auto were improved and reworked. One of the main concerns of the market with the BMW Z3 is their plastic windows which were quite on the unappealing end compared to other BMW series which had glass windows. The variety of the engine selection for the BMW Z3 also widened after its facelift and it already included 3.0L and 3.2L for the racer and the Coupes. Plenty of issues were solved in the production of the Z3’s dragster and almost all of its owners were quite happy with the outcome until the BMW Z4 came and the production of the Z3 was stopped.

By 1999, A BMW Z3 Coupe was also released. Although, the Z3 Coupes were only available in six cylinder engines and some availability of was subjected to specific and selected locations, the production of the Z3 coupes still lasted for four years marking its demand and success.

The Frankfurt auto show in Germany

Dubbed as a sports activity coupe by BMW, the BMW X6 is a mixture of a luxury SUV, which possesses a novel automated transmission capability. This mid-size luxury coupe was provided to the market by the second quarter of 2008. With its giant wheel and tires, it can course through any weather and has a high ground clearance while still possessing the sloping roof of a classic BMW coupe.

The BMW X6 shares the same platform with the BMW X5. The X5 and the X6 are both manufactured and assembled at Spartanburg, South Carolina. Compared to the X5, the BMW X6 can only seat up to up to 4 passengers although it is relatively longer and wider. The Frankfurt automobile show in Germany released a concept model for the X6 a year ago than its official release in 2008. The official debut of the BMW X6 was held at the Montreal world auto show and the Detroit world auto show. During the said auto shows in 2008, an announcement was made by BMW referring to its release of a half-breed version of the X6. The BMW idea X6 active hybrid was declared to be released by 2009.

The petrol engine versions of the BMW X6 uses twin turbo charged engines. A 4.4 liter twin- turbo charged V8 engine is available for the XDrive50i which is a top of the line model. The V8 engine used is essentially the 1st turbocharged V8 engine in the world that places the turbochargers between the V sections of the 2 banks of cylinder. Another engine model, the X6 Drive35i draws power from a 3.0 liter twin-turbo charged inline-six gas engine. The said engine is utilized in the BMW 1, 3, and 5 series respectively. Diesel versions of the engines for the X6 are also available.
